The transmission part of the ball mill is mainly composed of reducer, large and small transmission gears, motor and electric control cabinet. When the ball mill is running, the sound of the normal operation of the reducer should be uniform and smooth. If there is a slight knocking sound or hoarse friction sound in the gear, you can continue to observe, find out the cause, and stop the ball mill for processing. If the sound becomes louder and louder, stop the ball mill immediately for inspection.
一. Trial operation and testing operation of ball mill
1. During the trial operation of the ball mill, the operator must carefully make various records.
2. The ball mill is running dry. The continuous operation time of the ball mill in dry operation must be greater than 12 to 24 hours. If any problems are found during the trial operation, they should be solved in time.
3. Load test operation of ball mill. After the ball mill's dry run test runs normally, load test run can be carried out. Load test operation should be carried out in stages. During the load test operation, feeding should be carried out according to the discharge situation to avoid unnecessary wear and damage of the steel balls and cylinder lining plates. The stages of load test operation are:
(1) Add appropriate materials and 1/3 of the number of steel balls (refer to the ball mill instructions for the amount of balls) and test run for 12 to 24 hours.
(2) Add 2/3 of the steel balls and run for 24 to 48 hours.
(3) Based on the discharge situation of the ball mill, the output of qualified products, and the actual ball loading of ball mills in similar mineral processing plants, determine the reasonable ball loading of this ball mill, and conduct a trial run of at least 72 hours.
4. During the above process, the length of the trial operation time and the increase in the above-mentioned load should be determined based on the running-in conditions of the large and small gears and the reducer gears (tooth surface, temperature rise, noise, contact, etc.). It must not be operated at full load until the tooth surface contact accuracy does not meet the design requirements.
5. During the trial operation, the cooling and lubrication systems of the ball mill should work normally; the temperatures of the main bearings, transmission bearings, and reducer should all be normal.
6. After loading 2/3 of the steel balls into the ball mill again for 24 to 48 hours of trial operation, the operator should carefully check and tighten all bolts again.
二. Precautions for using ball mill
1. The balance wheel and intermediate wheel of the ball mill reducer are not installed according to the specified meshing tooth elevation, which will cause the ball mill high-speed shaft pinion to drive the intermediate shaft large gear on one side, and the ball mill intermediate shaft pinion drives the balance wheel, and the ball mill balance wheel Then it turns around to drive the intermediate shaft on the other side so that the ball mill reducer does not rotate with equal load on both sides and produces a beating sound, which is very dangerous.
2. The ball mill is not allowed to work under overload or insufficient material supply.
3. The ball mill must run in the specified direction, otherwise the material cannot be discharged or the machine may be damaged.
